Since Then is designed to keep the details of your habits private. Your trackers are stored on your device. The app also offers optional product analytics to help me understand how people use it and where it can be improved.
Information you enter
Your tracker names, individual check-ins and setbacks, dates, goals and optional spending amounts are stored locally on your device and shared locally with the Since Then widget. Since Then does not upload these tracker records to my server or to PostHog. I cannot view or recover your trackers.
Your device’s backup settings may affect whether locally stored app data is included in a backup.
Optional product analytics
Since Then asks whether you would like to share limited product analytics. Analytics is off until you choose to enable it.You can decline and continue using all the app’s features.
If you opt in, PostHog receives a randomly generated identifier for your app installation and limited events about app use. These include opening the app, creating or viewing a tracker, checking in, recording a setback, reaching a milestone and using certain screens. A widget check-in may also generate an event. Events can include broad details, such as whether an optional goal is enabled or which range a streak falls into, as well as the app version and event time.
PostHog does not receive tracker names, notes, text you enter, exact tracker dates, exact spending or savings amounts, your name, email address or advertising identifier. The app does not enable session replay, screen recording or automatic capture of on-screen content. Analytics are not used for advertising or to follow you across other apps or websites.
Events are sent to PostHog through its EU ingestion endpoint. PostHog may receive technical network information, such as an IP address, when processing a request; the app disables PostHog’s geographic enrichment for its events. You can read PostHog’s privacy policy.
Your analytics choice
You can change your choice at any time in the app: tap … → Privacy & Analytics, then turn Share product analytics on or off. Turning it off stops new analytics events from the app and widget. It does not automatically delete events already sent to PostHog.
Purchases, widgets and reminders
Optional Pro purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. I do not receive your payment card details.
Widgets use your locally stored tracker data. If you have opted into analytics, checking in from a widget may send a limited check-in event to PostHog, but not the tracker’s name.
Reminders are scheduled using your device’s notification system. Your tracker details are not sent to PostHog as part of a reminder. If you have opted into analytics, the app may record whether notification permission was requested and its resulting status.
Retention and deletion requests
Tracker data remains in the app’s local storage until you delete a tracker or remove the app, subject to your device’s backup settings. Analytics events remain in PostHog until they are deleted or removed under the project’s retention settings.
To ask about your data or request deletion of analytics records, contact me at nkuleindiren@gmail.com. Analytics events are not connected to your email address, so I may not be able to identify a particular installation’s records from an email alone.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top will show when it was last updated.
